Z-Prime Plus is a single-component priming agent used to enhance adhesion between indirect restorative materials and composite resin cements.
Z-Prime Plus significantly enhances bond strengths to Zirconia, Alumina and Metal substrates more than any other surface primer on the market due to its unique combination of two active monomers, MDP, a phosphate monomer, and BPDM, a carboxylate monomer. This combination of primers gives Z-Prime Plus a synergistic effect resulting in its high bond strengths.

Do I need to refrigerate Z-PRIME Plus?
No. Z-Prime Plus may be stored at room temperature.

Do I need to shake Z-PRIME Plus prior to use?
There is no need to shake the bottle, as Z-Prime Plus is always homogeneous.

Does Z-PRIME Plus affect the final seating of the restoration?
No, Z-Prime Plus has a film thickness of only 2 µm. Z-Prime Plus does not need to be light-cured.

After dispensing, how much time do I have to use the Z-PRIME Plus?
Z-PRIME Plus is a light sensitive material. Use Z-PRIME Plus immediately once it is dispensed in the mixing well or protect from ambient light.

If I apply the Z-PRIME Plus when I receive the case from the lab, how long can I wait to cement the restoration?
Z-PRIME Plus is good for up to 6 months after application to the restoration. You may apply Z-Prime Plus immediately after receipt from the laboratory.

Why does BISCO not recommend Z-PRIME Plus be used for Porcelain and Lithium Disilicate restorations?
Application of a pure silane coupling agent to glass ceramic surfaces provides a strong chemical bond that allows you to predictably bond resins to that surface. Application of Z-Prime Plus provides a strong chemical bond to all metals, zirconia, alumina and composite surfaces. One product cannot achieve high chemical bonds to all of these substrates. Materials that combine both these primers do not provide a chemical bond to glass ceramics, the only benefit of application of those materials is from substrate "wetting" effect.

Do I need to decontaminate my zirconia crown after try-in?
Yes, if you hope to acheive optimal and reliable cementation results. Removing contaminants from the restoration will help to acheive better bond strengths. If the crown has been sandblasted, then after try-in, clean the internal surface of the zirconia and then proceed with applying Z-PRIME Plus. If the surface wasn't sandblasted, then sandblast the intaglio surface of the zirconia, clean the internal surface of the zirconia and then proceed with applying Z-PRIME Plus.
