I have recently been introduced to American Eagle instruments by the periodontist from our practice. As a hygienist for 20 years, I now realise how much unnecessary strain I have been putting on my wrists by using blunt instrument ( even though they are continually being sharpened). I was surprised at how sharp the American Eagles were but also how little effort was required to use them. Patient discomfort is significantly decreased as very little pressure is required to use these instruments, the hard tenacious sub gingival calculus doesn't stand a chance with these scalers! The most impressive feature of these scalers is that they stay sharp and do not need sharpening, the width and weight of the instrument to hold is extremely comfortable.
I highly recommend these scalers and I will certainly not go back to my old one's, these are definitely worth the money.
