I had been meaning to do this course for years. For me, most UK courses don’t compare with what can be learned with Dr Lorenzo Vanini. Be first sight of Lake Como turns your senses to aesthetics. Dr Vanini explains how to interpret tooth colour with his patented colour chart and how to transfer this into beautiful composite restorations. I would recommend staying an extra few days to visit this stunning part of Italy.

An excellent course which combines theory and a practical workshop leaving the student with knowledge to place a truly superior composite filling in the patient’s mouth.

All I wanted to do was to understand different layering techniques. The level of detail and understanding I gained from the Ab initio course exceeded my expectations, improving my understanding of colour and placement techniques. The benefits from attending the Ab Initio course are immediate and far-reaching. The improvement in the aesthetics of my anterior restorations was simply mind blowing. The results achieved I had only believed were possible using porcelain and a master technician. I am now able to achieve vitality and characterisation with the degree of predictability I would not have expected.

I have found the Ab Initio course to be challenging and informative; and most enjoyable. It quenches my thirst for knowledge about composites. It covers the evolution of composites, bonds and lights; from the inception to the very latest research. I now know which three bonds work and, above all, I am learning to use the wonderful HFO. When I look in patient’s mouths, there is no comparison between the teeth I have restored with HFO and those I have restored with other composites. They now look like real teeth and I am striving to improve even more. That’s what Abinitio does to you.
