From Prep to Finish: Anterior Composite Restorations – Portsmouth
Join Dr Nikhil Sethi and gain the skills required to predictably create an anterior composite restoration utilising the latest techniques to successfully produce a long-lasting aesthetic restorative result. Taking place on 7th June 2019 at Portsmouth University, this one-day course aims to provide clinicians with a clear structure when approaching any anterior composite in practice.

Overview
Anterior composite restorations, especially the single central incisor is one of the hardest aesthetic procedures a clinician faces. Whilst much focus is made on polishing and shaping, it is indeed the whole process, from shade matching, preparation, isolation, adhesion and layering that play a much more important role in a long lasting successful restoration.
Objectives
To understand colour and the effect of dehydration on teeth and how to establish an accurate shade matching process. How to prepare the enamel for ideal bonding and then a putty index classic technique for a simplified layering approach to recreate accurate form and aesthetics.
Learning Outcomes
The candidate will be gain the skills to be able to predictably create an anterior composite restoration, utilising the latest techniques to successfully produce a long lasting aesthetic restorative result.
