Ultraseal XT Plus Economy Pack Opaque White
UltraSeal XT plus is a light-cured, radiopaque, fluoride-releasing composite sealant. It is stronger and more wear resistant because it is a 58%-filled resin and has less polymerisation shrinkage. The spiral brush action of the Inspiral® Brush tip causes shear thinning of the filled, thixotropic UltraSeal XT plus, reducing its viscosity as it is placed. The resin firms when shear thinning ceases and placement is complete, preventing it from running before it can be light cured. Using PrimaDry® with UltraSeal XT plus enhances UltraSeal XT plus?s penetration into pits and fissures by eliminating moisture that can cause failure.
Use UltraSeal XT plus for prophylactic sealing of pits and fissures. It may also be used for microrestorative or as an initial layer of composite restorations.

Hints & Tips
Q: Some dentists ask if the fissure sealing materials UltraSeal XT plus and hydro are self-adjusting (by the chewing function of the patient). This would eliminate the need for the dentist to adjust the occlusion.
A: Fissure sealants which are “self adjusting” by the chewing activities of the patient have to be rather soft – and therefore, the wear of the whole sealing is rather high. Our fissure sealants are not “self-adjusting” by chewing. This is a good thing, because so they have a high wear resistance and a long lifetime. The hardness is enhanced by a high filler content: UltraSeal XT plus has 58 % filler (by weight), UltraSeal XT hydro has 53 % filler (by weight). When applying sealants, you should not overfill the fissures and do not cover the cusp slopes. Then you have only little work with adjusting the occlusion.
